The couple who mixes business with pleasure is here with some new music. It seems like it’s been forever and a day since Christina Milian was supposed to release her latest album. First, she was signed to Myspace Records with the album title of Dream In Color then she became acquainted with The-Dream. She scrapped that album and let The-Dream redo the entire thing then switched labels to Interscope.
As for this new snippet, “Welcome to Vegas”, it is definitely the most radio friendly that’s leaked from this album; a bit generic if you ask us. That doesn’t mean it is not catchy because it flows so well. There is no doubt that The-Dream has cooked up something crazy for his wife-to-be. Although, what happens if her album flops… What will happen to them? That’s why business and pleasure should never be mixed; especially to the degree that they’ve taken it to.
If you’re wondering if in fact Elope will ever hit the stores, Christina recently confirmed the album is well on its way to MTV.
I’m excited. I’m, like, waiting forever, like, ‘When does the single come out?’ I don’t even know.
It’s called Elope right now. Who knows, knowing me — I’m changing constantly… But it’s called Elope. It’s through Interscope records and I did it with The-Dream and Tricky Stewart.
I’m really excited. It’s [about] a young female growing into a woman, and it’s very honest. The album’s fun, so I’m looking forward to performing it, and putting it out, and it’s looking like end of this year, top of next year
