Here is the video premiere of Eva Simons’ single “Silly Boy”. This single made headlines, well blog post headlines, as it was rumored to be a demo for a collaboration between Rihanna and Lady GaGa. It turned out that was not the truth but instead it gave Eva the career boost she needed. You sometimes have to wonder how intentional these marketing schemes are.
The song itself has the potential to be an international hit; known in many countries but maybe not a #1 hit. As for the video it is certainly trendy as it steals borrows from La Roux “In for the Kill” and some Lady GaGa/Thierry Mugler inspired costumes. It’s basically many videos of this past year recycled into one brand new pop extravaganza.
