At the beginning of the week we reported unofficial news of Rihanna’s astronomically anticipated fourth LP. Well now we have some concrete news on Rihanna’s forthcoming effort:

Rihanna is currently in the studio working on her next album. She will be working with Kanye West, Stargate, SRP, James Fauntleroy, Tricky and The Dream, and Tyson Ritter (All American Rejects) just to name a few. The new album is slated for a Fall 2009 release. [SOURCE]

Well some may be upset but the island RiRi we came to know in 2005 is ‘Dead & Gone’. Eventhough this may not be any decision of Rihanna’s we love it because it is an evolution of a cultural pop icon. Being at the top like Rihanna is not just based on a passion for music; there is hardcore business and strategy behind it all, sad to say but it’s true. Rihanna’s image is 70-80% of the reason why she stays relevant and her music needs to match that. Rihanna has definitely redefined what a POPular girl is and we can’t help but be infatuated with it. Her sound and style will continue to take all the left turns spawning another mega-success. Looks like ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ will be gleaming for some time to come.
