Yes, nowadays there isn’t too much that’s worth posting so we’re taking you back to 2004. Veteran Brooklyn rapper Masta Ace’s 2004 LP, A Long Hot Summer, contained some of the only decent hip-hop around. One song that stood out was “Brooklyn Masala”. From the flow of the song to the lyrics, everything just works. Compared to the majority off what’s out now this is like some sort of rare jewel. If you want to listen to some real hip-hop listen to this.
