Whilst in London, Drake was interviewed by DJ Semtex for his website. Well what do you think the main topic was? By the hint in the picture above it was obviously Rihanna. He spilled the beans on writing for RiRi’s fourth studio album as well as their possible relationship.
“I guess I’m living a dream,” he said about his success thus far. “I enjoy a challenge. I’ve never in my mind felt like, ‘Oh, I could probably write something crazy for Rihanna.’ That wasn’t my first thought. But being put up to the task, we’re coming up with some special stuff. It’s crazy, man. All I could do is smile. It’s nice.”
When Semtex asked if he and Rihanna had anything going on besides work, Drake once again played if off with light laughter.
“Out here? Yeah, it’s just work. Me and Rihanna are just me and Rihanna. We’re cool and she’s great, man. She’s a great person, definitely.”
…
“We’re young, having fun and enjoying life. That’s all,” he said of the rumors.
It’s funny how Rihanna has been connected to a handful of guys since February. But if it’s true about Drake and Rihanna a person can definitely understand how he’s dealing with it. He’s not fully denying anything. He likes to tease the public with the fact that the two may be in fact dating. He must feel like the man right now with all that’s going on but at the same time he’s still private about the matter to protect himself and the relationship if there is one.
But moving along on to the important issue, his music. His debut is coming along smoothly and it definitely will be one to lookout for in ’09. He still is currently unsigned and there is talk that he may bypass the labels altogether and just release an independent effort.

Mr. West spoke with MTV’s Sway about his upcoming fifth studio. Of course his damn obnoxious ego tagged along.
“I kill that rap sh–, that’s what I do,” he said of his upcoming opus. “Lyrics right now, they’re awes-mazing. They’re basically untouchable. I’m about to take it to a whole ‘nother level. I’d be scared if I was not me.”
“As far as rapping goes, how can I say this? Jordan, Michael Jackson — it’s what I do,” West told us recently comparing his greatness on the mic to what the Mikes do in their respective arenas. “It’s time for me to bust another rap album.”
“Madonna’s a cool girl,” he said of the woman he collaborated with last year. “We were just partying, drinking, having a good time. It’s interesting people would make such a big deal out of photographs. I’m happy they make a big deal out of it. It’s better for me.”
Man o man! You see Kanye is a perfect example of an artist turned celebrity who surrounds himself with nothing but ‘YES’ people and I’m saying this as a fan. I wonder when was the last time he was brought to reality and I’m not speaking about his haters or other people. I’m speaking about the people he trusts and are close to. Shoots they’re probably riding on the ‘Good Life’ all sponsored by Mr. West so they’re going to put up with his foolishness to stay on it.
But a fifth album already? I’m sure it will be great and he’s ambitious ‘n all but I feel artists who release albums so close together give off the impression they’re on a time period and don’t have longevity in the industry.
