Jordin Sparks last left the masses with her hit duet featuring Chris Brown, “No Air”. Now she’s gearing up to release her yet to be titled sophomore album later this year. Her new single is entitled “Battlefield” and is produced by Ryan Tedder, the guy who was responsible for the production of Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love”.
This song is a great way to start off her album. It’s completely mainstream and will appeal to the demographic that will most likely go out and purchase her album. We can’t knock Jordin for being safe because this is her lane and she’s too early in her career to be experimenting as well. The song definitely has that epic/ anthem feeling to it. Jordin might be able to match the success of Kelly Clarkson in the R&B genre. Take a listen.
