The Tapemasters Inc. crew has released a new mixtape, The Future of RNB 26, and as always there are a few exclsuive tracks that have never been heard from some of today’s most recognized R&B individuals.
The first one is by Brandy entitled “Decisions” featuring Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate. This song is speculated to be a preview of what’s to come from Brandy’s upcoming sixth studio album. This is one HOT jam. It’s much safer and more radio friendly than what was on her Human album. They both do a great job of expressing emotion backed by a great melody. If this is what’s to come from Brandy then shoots we’re anticipating what’s to come later.
Brandy – Decisions feat. Ne-Yo
Next up is Ciara with a track entitled “Secret”. Another HOT one and unfortunately it did not make Fantasy Ride which unfortunately has turned out to be a major flop. It’s sitting sadly at #32 on the Billboard Top 100 in less than a month since it’s release. With a song like this it displays Ciara’s ability to make nice music but her problem is being able to attract the public. We wonder if the album flop will drive her to record her fourth studio album or if she will continue to work on this album until it catches on.
Ciara – Secret
New material from Ginuwine has been leaking with force, all of which remind us why he use to be the top R&B guy. We now have what is said to be his official single entitled “Get Involved” featuring Timbaland and Missy Elliott. WOW o WOW this must be the late 90′s all over again, all that’s missing is some Magoo and Aaliyah. Although the song is not a progression of Timbaland’s sound, it’s very much his classic sound which might not be appreciated so much as a lot of his fans today are the ones who caught on when he struck the gold mine in 2006. We’re not complaining because those days were some fun days within the music industry. As for Ginuwine himself we did mention he WAS the top… and we meant that because his first single “Last Chance” was not successful and with the lack of appreciation for this classic sound it very may well follow the same path.
Ginuwine – Get Involved feat. Timbaland & Missy Elliott
A new Mateo track also made the mixtape. This one is entitled “Human”. The tempo on this one is slow with a simple guitar instrumental. As usual the content is deep and meaningful and Mateo’s vocals are smooth and crisp. The second chapter of his mixtape is to drop very soon and so be on the lookout for that here. Check it out!
